TORONTO – The EIFS Council of Canada (ECC) will hold its annual meeting event, combining board of directors meetings, elections, a golf tournament and an outstanding guest speaker, Dr. Ted Kesik, Professor of Building Science University of Toronto, at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Niagara Falls, Ont., June 20-21, 2012. Kesik’s talk, “Delivering value, quality and performance to exterior wall enclosures,” is scheduled for Thursday, June 21, at 9 am in the hotel’s Salon C.
“Professor Kesik, a respected leader in the Canadian building science field, will deliver a presentation that will examine the EIFS value proposition in the context of the ECC Quality Assurance Program,” commented John M. Garbin, President/CEO EIFS Council of Canada & EIFS Quality Assurance Program Inc. “He will also explain the way EIFS is being leveraged by designers, manufacturers, contractors and owners and investors to deliver value, quality and performance in both new and retrofit building projects.”
“Recent changes to the Ontario Building code (and ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2010) call for increased levels of energy efficiency,“ said Garbin. “At the same time there is a heightened level of due diligence as pension funds target income trusts as a safe haven for investments. This EIFS conference is a must-attend for members and partners.”
