EIFS COUNCIL OF CANADA SEMINAR
Delivering Value, Quality and Performance to Exterior Wall Enclosures
Guest Speaker: Dr. Ted Kesik, Professor of Building Science – University of Toronto
EIFS COUNCIL OF CANADA SEMINAR: JUNE 21 9:00 TO 10:30 AM
In a world of economic uncertainty that faces the challenge of climate change, it will become increasingly important to deliver value, quality and performance for both new and retrofit building projects. Recent changes to the Ontario Building Code and the introduction of ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2010 call for increased levels of energy efficiency. At the same time, pension funds are targeting real estate income trusts as a safe haven for investments, thus introducing a heightened level of due diligence in property valuation. P3 projects have extended an awareness of life cycle costs and performance warranties beyond this sector to influence the entire industrial, commercial and institutional building market. Professor Kesik’s presentation will examine the EIFS value proposition in the context of the ECC Quality Assurance Program. The presentation will explain how EIFS can be leveraged by designers, manufacturers, contractors and owners/investors to deliver value, quality and performance.
